Upon consideration of arguments provided;

IT IS AGREED AND PASSED that:

The Committee on Indian Affairs, a division of Medicine Wheel Intertribal Society, hereby denounces the use of inaccurate and/or derogatory Indian mascots, characters, images, logos, and any other forum which portrays an inaccurate view of American Indians historically and/or in today's society and prejudices related therein.

IT IS AGREED AND PASSED that:

The Committee on Indian Affairs has the full support of the Executive Board and the majority of the
Body of Medicine Wheel Intertribal Society.

IT IS FURTHER AGREED AND PASSED that:

The Committee on Indian Affairs is to act in any manner necessary to correct inaccurate portrayals of
American Indians and prejudices related therein resulting from the use of Indian mascots, characters, images, logos, and any other forum which portrays an inaccurate view of American Indians historically
and/or in today's society.
 
THUS AGREED AND PASSED by majority vote of the Body of the Society this 30th day of July, 2000 in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
